Illegal Gambling Operatives: Charleston Woman Arrested in May 2018 for Operating an Illegal Casino

A 50-year-old woman from Charleston was arrested on Wednesday following a bust made by the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) agents in her home. Andrea Elizabeth Stuckey of Odessa Street came home whilst the agents were still in the middle of a search. She admitted to owning each of the machines found at the scene.

In addition to one count of unlawful games and betting, Stuckey faces 10 counts of possessing illegal gaming machines. SLED and court records indicate that Stuckey was found in possession of 10 Pot-O-Gold video gambling machines. The machines offered a variety is casino games including the likes of Blackjack, poker, keno, craps and other casino games that are illegal and prohibited under the South Carolina Law.

At the time of the arrest, investigators confirmed that these machines were used for illegal gambling. Stuckey also admitted to using the apartment and operating an illegal gaming house.
